Day 1: Kampala – Kalinzu (6 hours drive)
Our driver/guide will pick you up from your place of choice and transfer you to Bushenyi/ Kalinzu Forest Central reserve known for its chimpanzees. En route, photo stop at Equator, lunch at Mbarara with a visit to Igongo Cultural Museum. The wide view of Kalinzu Forest on Kasunju Hill is wonderful. A village tour will give you a chance of cooking traditional food like Matooke (steamed banana) and Kalo (mingled posho). Overnight at Western Meridian Hotel, meal Plan: Lunch and Dinner
Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking at Kalinzu Forest and transfer back to Kampala (6 hours drive)
After breakfast, head for chimpanzee trekking. Kalinzu Forest has over 450 individuals of Chimpanzee. Chimpanzee researchers succeeded in habituation in 2007. Chimpanzee tracking start at 8:00am for 3-4 hours. Later you will be driven back to Kampala: Meal Plan: Breakfast and Lunch.
