Day 1 of the 4 Days Murchison Falls National Park Tour: Kampala – Murchison Falls National Park (6 hours drive)
Drive to Murchison falls National Park with a branch off to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino trekking. It is conveniently located north of Kampala covering 176km on the Gulu highway towards Murchison Falls National Park. This is the only place where you can see the rhinos in the wilderness in Uganda. Later after lunch start your panoramic drive to Murchison falls National Park known for its Murchison Falls, where the Victoria Nile River surges through a narrow gap over a massive drop. This is also where you can site 76 species of animals and over 401 species of birds. Enjoy the fresh air, views and treasures of Murchison falls. Overnight at Nile Safari Lodge/ Paraa Safari Lodge/ Bakers Lodge/ Pakuba Safari Lodge/ Fort Murchison Lodge/ Red Chilli Rest Camp. Meal Plan: Lunch and Dinner.
Day 2: Murchison fall game drive and boat cruise
Have your breakfast amidst singing birds as your driver guide is waiting for you to start your morning game drive. The Savannah in northern bank of River Nile is very extensive and uneven. It is quite exciting to search animals and birds in such environment. The ranger guide will spot for you Elephants, Lion, Cape buffalo, Rothschild’s giraffe, hartebeest, Waterbuck, Oribi, Bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, hyena and if you are lucky, the leopard.
After lunch, you will ascend the Victoria Nile up to the bottom of the Falls by boat to witness the world’s longest river Nile in its full and mighty glory surges through a narrow gap over a massive drop. It is also home of many water birds, hippos and Nile Crocodiles, also high chance of seeing elephants, buffaloes, and many antelopes. Leave your boat and hike to the top of fall and see where waterforces through a 7-meter canyon dropping 45 meters with a thunderous roarsound. Overnight at Nile Safari Lodge/ Paraa Safari Lodge/ Bakers Lodge/ Pakuba Safari Lodge/ Fort Murchison Lodge/ Red Chilli Rest Camp. Meal Plan: Lunch and Dinner.
Day 3: Murchison Falls – Budongo Forest / KaniyoPabidi Forest (2 hours’ drive)
After breakfast, you will drive to southern bank to Budongo Forest/Kaniyo pabidi Forest. It is known for its former abundance of East African mahogany trees as well as being home to a population of chimpanzees. On arrival at the lodge, arrange yourself for the afternoon Chimpanzee tracking and you will see how these closest creatures to human beings behave and play, you will also see other primates like red-tailed monkeys, the black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys and olive baboons. Overnight at Budongo Eco Lodge (Mid-range) Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 4: KaniyoPabidi Forest –Kampala/Entebbe Airport (5 hours’ drive), End of the 4 Days Murchison Falls National Park Tour
After your early morning breakfast at 6:00am, have Guided walk within the forest then you will be driven back to Kampala or Entebbe Airport to catch up with your flight back home.
