The 5 Days Gorilla Trekking Rwanda Safari will take you to Volcanoes National Park which is one of the national parks for the Virunga region and it is known for its rare Mountain Gorillas and Golden Monkey which are also known as the blue monkeys or sky monkey with the colorful colors. You will also visit the twin lakes of Bulera and Ruhondo for canoe ride.
Day 1 of the 5 Days Gorilla Trekking Rwanda Safari:Arrival at Kigali Airport and transfer to the hotel
Upon arrival at Kigali international airport, you will be welcomed by our office representative who will brief you shortly and later transferred to yourreserved city hotel. Spend the rest of time at your leisure and relaxation. Dinner and overnight at Kigali Serena Hotel/ Chezlando Hotel /Quiet Haven Hotel. Meal Plan: Dinner.
Day 2 of the 5 Days Gorilla Trekking Rwanda Safari: Kigali City – Volcanoes National Park (2.5 hours drive)
You will be picked from your place of the stay around the city or the Airport then transferred to Volcanoes National Park. Volcanoes National Park is located at north-west corner of Rwanda, north of Virunga Mountains and it is famous for Mountain Gorilla and Golden Monkey.Enjoy the rolling hills for which Rwanda is well known as you proceed to Ruhengeri or Musanze. En route visit of Dian fossey institute and you proceed to your lodge for dinner and Overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge (Luxury), Davinci Gorilla Lodge (Midrange) or at The Garden Place (Budget). Meal Plan: Lunch and Dinner.
Day 3: Gorilla trekking and Iby’Iwacu Cultural experience at Volcano National Park
This huge cross-border forest is another home for Mountain Gorilla. It is thought that these Gorillas have created different developments in an isolated environment. You will be briefed from the park headquarters and later you will be escorted by the ranger guides into the park to search for the rare Mountain Gorillas. Watch the Gorillas feeding, playing and so often they are inquisitive. They also spend their time leaping from bamboo branches or frolicking on the forest floor. Return to the lodge and get ready for the afternoon village foot safari, to explore the indigenous local life with a taste of the traditional performance at IbyIwacu cultural center. Overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge (Luxury), Davinci Gorilla Lodge (Midrange) or at The Garden Place (Budget).Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 4: Canoe ride in the Twin Lake and return to Kigali
After breakfast, you will check-out from the rooms and store your luggages in the hotel. We will drive to the Twin Lakes ofBulera and Ruhondo. The lakes are located at the base of the Mount Muhabura, close to the Volcanoes national park (about 1 hour drive). The view of the surrounding landscape of the lakes is impressive with its wetland habitats, water birds, and the Virunga volcanoes. A boat ride on the fresh waters of Rwanda twin lakes is a complement to gorilla safaris in Volcanoes national park. The canoe ride will reward you with a breath of fresh air, spectacular views of the green vegetation and various water birds. On your return have lunch at the way back to the hotel to pick your luggage and later proceed to Kigali city. Dinner and overnight at Kigali Serena Hotel/ Chezlando Hotel /Quiet Haven Hotel. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 5: Kigali city tour and transfer to Kigali airport, End of the 5 Days Gorilla Trekking Rwanda Safari
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the genocide museum. It was inaugurated in 2004; the Kigali Genocide Memorial at Gisozi is the final resting place for more than 250,000 victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi. Meal Plan: Breakfast. End of service.
